Fellowship Education
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Diseases offers three fellowships:

The mission of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education accredited (ACGME) University of Cincinnati Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease is to prepare cardiologists to be fully capable of meeting the current and future needs of the clinical and academic cardiology communities.

This is a three year ACGME program in standard cardiovascular disease which strives to produce well-rounded clinical cardiologists who provide excellent and compassionate patient care and who have a strong desire for life-long learning. An equally important goal is to produce academic cardiologists active in both the clinical and basic research arenas who conduct research with the highest of ethical standards.

All fellows who have completed their training in the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship program, through June 2007, have successfully become board certified in cardiovascular disease. Click here to learn more.

The ACMGE-accredited one-year Cardiovascular Interventional Fellowship offers advanced training in the discipline of interventional cardiology to individuals who have completed three years of standard cardiology training and who are currently eligible for board certification in cardiovascular diseases.
