Current Residents
Welcome From the Chief Residents
Welcome to University of Cincinnati's Internal Medicine program!
We believe that our program trains terrific physicians. We pride ourselves on our impact in the community, one patient at a time. Our focus is evidence-based and patient-centered medical care.
Learning and teaching medicine from the perspective of your patients is very important to our residency program. The idea of “entrustment” will be echoed this coming year. We pride ourselves in a new evaluation system, that is both meaningful, measurable and goal oriented.
Excellent medical care like that can only be achieved with a team-based approach. To this end, we are transforming what inpatient and outpatient care looks like with many new initiatives.
Residents are integral to our team-based approach. From day one, we strive to take care of each other like family. It is not unusual for a senior resident to admit a patient overnight for an intern that is running behind, or for one resident to step up for another resident when a family emergency occurs. We could not be more proud of a kinder and smarter group of residents.
Due to our participation in the EIP (Educational Innovation Program) we have a unique curriculum during the second year of residency. In a nutshell, residents have a 12 month period to tailor their residency to their specific educational goals. Many residents use this time to perform research, focus on their career goals, and to study. You will hear plenty more about EIP during your interview!
Thank you for visiting us in the virtual world, but we urge you to come visit us in Cincinnati! Any of us will be happy to meet with you and show you around. Please feel free to contact us with any questions that you may have.
We are proud to serve as the chief residents for the 2012-2013 academic year, and we look forward to meeting you!
