Dialysis Vascular Access Research Program

The Dialysis Vascular Access Research Program within the Division of Nephrology at the University of Cincinnati is a translational research program whose mission objectives are to:

  • Explore the pathobiology of dialysis vascular access dysfunction, using state of art technology
  • Develop and evaluate novel therapies that target the problem of hemodialysis vascular access dysfunction
  • Facilitate the transition of novel therapies to the clinic by playing a principal role in the design and conduct of clinical trials for testing out these novel therapies in the setting of hemodialysis vascular access dysfunction
  • Interact with the UC Health Vascular Access Center to provide cutting edge research possibilities for both physicians and patients

The strength of the Dialysis Vascular Access Research Program comes from its multidisciplinary team of scientists and investigators who are drawn from multiple colleges, departments and disciplines within the University of Cincinnati and the community.
